Chapter Seven
The band talked together for almost three hours and in that time Frank felt at home. He wasn’t worried about his past, or the fact that he was laughing at his ex-enemy’s jokes. Those things meant nothing to him, what meant something to him was the devotion he felt in the room from everyone around their table. He could feel the ‘we can do this’ vibe emanating around it bouncing off of Gerard’s flailing eccentric hands, to Ray’s whole hearted dedication to getting them in a studio, even Frank was guilty of passing the vibe as he giggled with Matt over some chords he felt could make the song he’d heard in the car. The conversation was just a blur of ice tea and alcohol until someone mentioned that getting them into a studio was actually possible. Frank’s eyes darted up from where he was stirring his straw about his ice tea.
“Dude, no way!” Ray exclaimed , his mouth slightly ajar.
“Yeah man, Mikey has an internship at Eyeball studios. Chances are he could probably get us in.” Gerard grinned at us. Frank almost choked on his mouthful of ice tea.
“Eyeball?!” He exclaimed, after calming the burning sensation in his throat.
“Yeah!”
“I recorded with them, once! Cool dudes. I could see if I could get us an in, too. I mean two in is better than one.” Frank felt like he was helping.
“That’s what she said.” Matt laughed like a hyena, and Frank laughed right along with him. Gerard & Ray just shot them daggers.
“You recorded a record?” Gerard was awestruck. He didn’t expect Frank to have done anything with music. He knew he could play guitar when he’d met him, but, he didn’t know that he was so passionate about his music. Gerard swallowed hard. Now that he thought about it, he didn’t know much about Frank at all. All Gerard knew was that Frank’s parents were dead, he was a recovering self-harmer, enjoyed the Misfits & Black flag and was gay. Other than that, there wasn’t much more he knew.
“Dude, Frank’s old band rocked! He was one of my favorite local bands in community college.” Ray exclaimed to the table. “He had an awesome voice.”
“Dude, you can sing?!” Gerard exclaimed his mouth forming a perfect ‘O’.
“Not really…” Frank muttered, modest. It was true as far as he could tell. His voice wasn’t really a voice, it was more like a growl or a scream.
“Sing us something!!!” Matt almost yelled from across the table at Frank. Frank blanched, all the color flooding out of his face.
“You sing something! I’m not serenading you losers!” Frank giggled out, trying to save himself from the humiliation.
“But Frank! What if it’s the voice of angels?! What if you’re better than Gerard! We’ll never know now.” Matt sarcastically exclaimed.
“And you never will, unless you manage to find my old band’s stuff.” Frank giggled. “It’ll be kind of hard though, I’ve been in bands since I was 11.”
“Dude. No way!” Matt exclaimed, examining the boy up and down.
“You can be your ass, I was. I was a regular punk rebel.” Frank smiled.
“A true spitfire.” Ray laughed.
“You can say that again.” Gerard laughed along, thinking about high school. He was ashamed by what little he actually knew about Frank...but he hoped to soon change that.

I wanted to update fast. I want you all to know that just because the band is done, doesn't mean the fanbase is. I'm going to keep writing about them, I'm definitely going to finish this fanfiction and I'm sure many more. So, stay tuned and don't let your creativity stop.
