The One That Got Away
Chapter 14
Franks’ P.O.V
Gee send me a message. “Gee” that’s a cute nickname, it was short yet cute and to the point. I could hear the worry in his text. I wanted to reply SO badly but I didn’t. I was supposed to be mad at him and I knew that he was looking at me; I was going to make him suffer. I read his message again and rolled my eyes.
“Excuse me for a sec, I’m going to go to the bathroom.” I told Mikey as I was getting up. I felt Gerard’s stare on me until I left the cafeteria.

I decided that I would go to my locker, seeing that I didn’t have to go to the bathroom but I needed to get to the room so I could get away from Gerard and his worried looks.
I traded in a couple of notebooks and closed my locker, only to get a heart attack. Gerard’s face was right there!
“Sorry.”
“Sorry yourself, excuse me.” I said trying to avoid him. Wait! Why was I trying to avoid him, I liked him.
“Frank I’m sorry okay!’ he pleaded holding onto my arm, ‘For whatever I did just please forgive me!”
“Why don’t you save your apologies for your girlfriend Gerard. You need to use them on her more than me, so again excuse me.”
“No, Frank I'm not going to let you go! You kissed me and I want to know why.”
“Why?”
“Because you can’t just kiss a person like that and not explain why, then run away!”
“Well if I do recall Gerard, Anna called you and you said ‘this will be our little secret.’” Hate dripping from the last words I said.
“Okay that wasn’t the best thing to say at the moment, but Anna caught me off guard at the moment and I couldn’t think of anything to say.”
“Whatever Gerard it was a mistake and I should have never done it. You obviously love your girlfriend to stand all the things she does to you.” It hurt me to say those words it really did but I didn’t want Gerard to know that. I wanted him gone, because that way I would get over him like I did to any other guy that I liked. I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn’t hear what Gerard said, “What?”
“I said’, he started, ‘for what its worth I don’t think that it was a mistake and that I really liked it.” He said mumbling the last part.
“Really?” I asked a bit shocked.
“Yeah, and if you’re up for it I would love to try the kiss thing again.” Wow that was a bold move.
“Yeah, okay’, I stated taking a step towards him, ‘For the record this doesn’t mean that I forgive you.’”
“I wasn’t counting on it.”
He cupped my cheek with one hand and tilted my chin up with the other. After about two seconds he connected his lips to mine. I can honestly say that I felt the fireworks after about another two seconds. The kiss was long and sweet with no tongue, but it was still filled with passion. I could have stayed like this for the rest of my life. Then I heard her voice, “GERARD!” Shit! It was Anna.
“Anna!” he yelled, then he turned to look at me only to an apology in his eyes, next he turned to chase his girlfriend that was headed towards the parking lot.

“No, Frank I'm not going to let you go! You kissed me and I want to know why.”
“Why?”
“Because you can’t just kiss a person like that and not explain why, then run away!”
“Well if I do recall Gerard, Anna called you and you said ‘this will be our little secret.’” Hate dripping from the last words I said.
“Okay that wasn’t the best thing to say at the moment, but Anna caught me off guard at the moment and I couldn’t think of anything to say.”
“Whatever Gerard it was a mistake and I should have never done it. You obviously love your girlfriend to stand all the things she does to you.” It hurt me to say those words it really did but I didn’t want Gerard to know that. I wanted him gone, because that way I would get over him like I did to any other guy that I liked. I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn’t hear what Gerard said, “What?”
“I said’, he started, ‘for what its worth I don’t think that it was a mistake and that I really liked it.” He said mumbling the last part.
“Really?” I asked a bit shocked.
“Yeah, and if you’re up for it I would love to try the kiss thing again.” Wow that was a bold move.
“Yeah, okay’, I stated taking a step towards him, ‘For the record this doesn’t mean that I forgive you.’”
“I wasn’t counting on it.”
