Frank tried to run away but ended up running into me and I hugged him tightly. “Let me go Gerard” he said while fisting my shirt.
“Calm down Frankie. I got you” I whispered into his ear.
“No Gerard! No please!’ he pleaded while trying to pull away, but at the same time he was fisting my shirt harder, “Please Gerard, just leave me alone.” He succeeded in pulling away from me and started running off campus. I did nothing as he kept running, until I could no longer see him, by this time Damien and Karla had arranged their clothing and each of them would have looked guilty, but Karla had a smirk on her face and Damien looked guilty because he had been caught. “You both should be disgusted” I spat at them.
“Sorry Gerard, but he’s a ugly fag, so I feel nothing for him” Karla said with a smile. “Well I guess I’ll see you after school baby” she said to Damien, then she kissed him and walked away.
As I was turning to leave I heard Damien call my name, “Gerard?” he almost sounded timid. “Yeah?” I replied.
“I’m sorry that you had to see all of that.” I gave him a confused look, “What do you even mean?” I asked back, my voice raising an octave or more with anger.
“Frank is a really awesome guy and all, but every time this happens he tends to overreact. So, I’m sorry that you had to have him all over you like that.” What the fuck is that even supposed to mean I asked myself. He must have noticed my confused face, because then he elaborated on what he had said, “It’s just that, you know how they are. All clingy and stuff.”
“If you don’t even like him, why do you even date him?” I asked more to myself than to him.
“Well,’ he started, “he has a cute ass and I can’t wait to fuck it.” What the fuck! “That’s the only reason I even deal with him in the first place. I bet it’s tight too. He’s a virgin, you know?” I couldn’t stand him talking about Frank like he was a toy for him to play with until he got tired.” I started to walk away. “Hey Gerard! Come on man! Man to man, you have to admit it looks like he has a tight ass that is just waiting to be fucked.”
“You know what man!’ I said as I turned around and started walking towards him, ‘Do you even know what a real man is?” I asked as I stalked towards him. He started backing up, seeing that I was approaching him quickly. “A real man doesn’t talk about anyone as if they are their fuckingplay thing! A real man doesn’t dehumanize or hurt someone just for fun and a REAL man doesn’t just pretend to be gay just to fuck an ass!” I had him against a wall and he was starting to look really scared. With his back against the wall I could strike him and he wouldn’t be able to protect himself, it’s perfect, I thought to myself. Do it for Frankie! my subconcious yelled. No! I replied to the voice, Frankie wouldn’t want me to hit this asshole....yet. I had been quiet for a while and Damien was beginning to look scared, “So shut the fuck up and go fuck your slut, because apparently she has no self worth either. Stay away from Frank or else you’ll have hell to pay. Got it?!” I yelled straight to his face. He nodded his head and ran off. Now, to more important things, I need to find Frank.
After texting Mikey that I was leaving I decided to walk and try to see if I could find Frank. After I walked up the street, I came to the conclusion that 1. I should have driven and 2. how the fuck am I going to find Frank. Just as I was beginning to lose hope a black flash interrupted my peripheral vision. Looking up I saw that the flash was caused by a person on a swing in the park that I was next to. After a closer analysis I saw that the person was Frank. I started running towards him, “Frank!” I yelled. He looked up just as I got close to him.
“Oh hey Gerard,’ he said softly, ‘listen if you wanna talk about what happened at school, can we just not?” He asked me while looking at his shoes.
“Ask about what happened at school? What happened? I was just gonna ask if you knew your lines yet, because you have been missing a shit ton of school and I will not let the play be ruined because my left hand man doesn’t know his lines” I said with a smirk on my face.
He turned to look up at me with a smile, “Haha! Very funny. Yeah I’ve been working on my lines.”
“Well good” I said plainly as I sat on the floor in front of him. He was about to start swinging he fell off of the swing and fell on top of me. After a few awkward silent seconds, I burst out laughing and so did he. After a little while longer he stopped and looked directly at me, by this time he was laying next to me. “Hey Gerard?” he asked.
“Yeah Frank?” I said as I started sitting up.
He sat up as well before continueing, “All bullshit aside, did you know that Damien was back there?” he asked, tears already gleaming in his eyes.
“No Frank, I had no idea.”
“Well then why did you even run back there in the first place?”
“I--well...I’ fuck, how do I even begin to explain this, ‘I justed wanted to see what you were gonna do. I should have never done that to you. I’m sorry.”
“No it’s okay. You woke me up.” He said, his voice cracking at the end. I turned to look at him, he was crying. “Ohh Frankie,’ I sighed pulling him into my lap, ‘I’m sorry.”
He clung onto my shirt as he repeated, “why?” over and over again. I didn’t reply, because I didn’t know what to say, so I settled with rocking him back and forth and whispering sweet nothings into his ear.
