"You...you've been drafted? All of you?" Juliet whispered as tears started to roll down her cheeks "Yes, all of us. And I promise I'll take care of you while I'm home. I'll write to you everyday." Frank got up and pulled her against his chest. He picked her up with ease, laying her down on the bed. "What if you don't come back?" she whispered "I will come back, I got a girl and a kid to come home to. I told ya, I'll write you letters everyday." he soothed, rubbing her back soothingly. Juliet nodded and cried herself to sleep against him. Frank normally had a hard time falling asleep but tonight it was nearly impossible. He slipped out of bed and went to the kitchen. Looking at the phone, he considered calling Gerard. It was extra hard for Gerard because him and his brother had been drafted. If one lost the other, the survivor would be a wreck. "Hello?" "You're awake too, huh?" "Yeah...Juliet's asleep but she's real upset. Did you tell Anna?" Frank sighed "Yeah, I told her. She yelled and hit me but then she started to cry. I feel like shit for this." Gerard's voice cracked, making it sound as if he were going to cry. Well it was drastic news and the girls had a good reason to be upset. War killed plenty and scarred the rest. "How's Mikey doing? Isn't he seeing Anna's cousin Mariah?" "He's spending the weekend with her, he's going to tell her then. How about me and Anna go over tomorrow?" "Alright, we have some good news for you anyway. And Morgan's coming over. He ain't going because he's got a back problem." Frank said goodbye and hung up before searching the fridge for a snack and going back to bed and having a fitful sleep full of gory nightmares
