Please Come Back To Me

The first few weeks of Frank being gone were hard on him and Juliet. The pregnant woman was crying and more hormonal than she expected. Frank's letters to her were filled with longing and sadness disguised as cheerfullness. Her letters back contained details of her visits with Anna, her checkups at the doctor, how big the baby was getting, how she felt, and most of all, how much she missed him. The little house was well kept but felt empty. Juliet's parents held a baby shower for her and decorated the nursery as well.

Every night before falling asleep, Frank would lovingly stare at the pictures he had of her, his beautiful wife. At the six month mark, he'd be on leave for two months. Hopefully, the baby would come before he had to leave again. There was no way in hell he'd let that child grow up fatherless. "Hey buddy, you doing okay?" Ray asked, turning on his side to face Frank. "Not really. What if I can't raise my kid?" "You'll be fine, don't worry. Just get some sleep.

The remaining months passed like years and finally, it was time to go home. Frank stood in the compartment of the train home, nervously smoothing his hair and tie. The moment the train stoppes, he scrambled out, frantically searching for his wife. "Frankie!" A familiar voice called "Jules!" Spinning on his heel, he was faced with the face of the wife he'd missed so much, as well as her bulging baby belly. "You look so handsome in uniform." Juliet beamed, squealing when her husband grabbed her by the waist and kissed her deeply "I missed ya Jules."
