~Desperate's P.O.V.~

my face went completely red when Gerard said he found my cover. okay, heres the back story...

once upon a time I was in a horrible class called dramatic arts. we were supposed to focus on specific talents we had, mine just happened to be singing and guitar. cue awkward silence, if you may. we had a project where we were supposed to film ourselves then post it on youtube, and send the link to our teacher. we were graded on video quality and performance. It just so happened that at the time the song I could do best was 'cemetery drive' by my chemical romance. cue even more awkward silence. and i even rocked it on my acoustic. so, time went by and I had forgotten all about it, until now.

"umm..." I trailed off, "I-I'm gona go put this stuff away..." I walked out of the room and Frank lead me to the area where they stored their clothing. he helped me put my stuff away,

"so, you like, sing?" he said, I didn't answer him.

"that's alright, I get it, I take it you covered one of our songs?"

I nodded my head, "It was for a school project, I did cemetery drive,"

Frank looked at me, "what did you do for instrumental?"

"acoustic, very poor acoustic, if I might add,"

"you play??" Frank asked exited, his face lit up.

"yeah, sort of anyway..."

we finished putting my stuff away and walked out to the living room once again.

"I will give you twenty bucks if you sing with me," Gerard stated, I raised an eyebrow.

"how about I do it for free?"

"even better,"

Gerard turned to Frank, "would you mind playing?" he asked, Frank nodded his head and grabbed Pansy out of the corner, he plugged her in and did all of his tune-y preparation stuff. Gee whispered something in his ear, then I heard an all-to-familiar tune begin to play. i decided to start off,

"well if you wanted honesty, that's all you had to say, I never want to let you down or have you go, its better off this way,"

as soon as I finished the first lines, waiting for Gerard, I noticed frank stopped playing. the room was dead silent, and everyone was staring at me. I was starting to feel self-conscious.

"what?" I asked, turning to Frank who was staring at me, mouth slightly open.

"you.. you're.." Gerard began,

"okay, I know I suck, you were the one who wanted to hear me,"

Gerard chuckled, then shook his head, "you're voice is amazing, I've never heard anyone with such incredible talent as you,"

"you sir, are a liar,"

"He's not lying," Frank stated, "here," he handed me pansy, "play cemetery drive,"

I did what I was told and progressed to cover cemetery drive. when I finished, they began to clap like mad.

"I'm not that good," I pressed,

"dude, you make Gerard and Frank look like amateurs," Mikey said,

"oh... kay?" I said, handing pansy back to Frank. "I think I'll go to bed now," I turned to leave the room, but Gerard was in my way (haha, Gerard way pun c;)

"stay? please? I never got to sing with you..."

I sighed, "okay, but can I change into some pajamas?" I paused for a brief moment, "and shower?"

"sure," he said, pulling me into the clothing area, I picked out a pair of fuzzy pajama bottoms and a cami. he led me into the bathroom, shutting the door and turning his back to me, I undressed and began to shower.

"so who taught you?" Gee said,

"I did, I taught myself,"

"you know, I know some people who have been looking for a lead singer..."

"thanks, but no, I suck at writing songs,"

"oh, understandable,"

I rinsed the conditioner out of my hair and turned the water off. Gee handed me a towel, then turned so his back was, once again, facing me. I dressed myself, "done," he turned around and smirked,

"would you like some makeup remover?"

I turned and looked at myself in the mirror and sure enough, my makeup was completely smudged, "yes please,"
