This Band Will Save Your Life (Frank Iero fanfic)

Chapter 14: The Hotel Bella Muerte

Fallyn's POV

~~~
"Fallyn, you need to wake up and get dressed. We're almost in the city now and you'll have to get off the bus when we get to the hotel." My eyes didn't wanna open, the bed's warm and I was having a nice dream.
"No reality right now." I mumbled and rolled my face into the pillow while Gerard shook the mattress in an attempt to wake me up.
"Yes reality. Unless you want to show up at the hotel in your pyjamas you're gonna need to get dressed and put on some normal clothes."
Mmm, I don't wanna get up.
The dream I was having had been fantastic and I never wanted it to end.
I'd been outside at a festival watching Panic! At The Disco perform.
My clothes looked great and my hair didn't look horrible.
The weather had been fantastic, not too warm and not too cold.
But the best part was that I'd been there with Katelyn...and a guy, a very cute one.
Gerard sighed next to me and I got the sweet taste of victory when I thought that he was about to leave me with my dream.
Then the guy that I'd been dreaming about minutes ago walked into the room.
"Hang on, I've got this."
Before I was given a chance to say or do anything my body along with the blankets was lifted up and I was carried out of the room.
Frank placed me in a seat at the kitchen table and put a cup of tea in front of me.
The blankets were still wrapped around every part of my body but I managed to free my arm so I could pick up the cup.
"I applaud your unconventional methods." Gerard went to the coffee pot as Frank sat across from me at the table. The drink woke me up and I blinked away the remnants of sleep while the microwave pinged in the background.
"You're mean, I was enjoying the bed, the pillow felt nice and soft..." My mind drifted off as I thought of the wonderful bed that Frank had abruptly taken me from.
"You know what would feel even better? Putting on day clothes and brushing your teeth so you'll be ready to check in at the hotel with the rest of us." Frank took a sip from a cup of coffee that looked like it had gone cold, he didn't seem to notice though.
Gee placed a bowl of vegetables in front of me, I said thank you and began to eat immediately.
"What's the time?" I asked no one in particular around a mouthful of food.
Yeah I know that you aren't supposed to talk with your mouth full but my manners had severely declined after a couple of days surrounded by guys.
"Four. You were out for ages. Did you happen to take any sleeping pills? If so I want what you're having." I laughed a little bit and moved over so Gerard could sit next to me at the table.
"I'm sorry, I used all my sleeping pills today. Did I really sleep that long?"
"It was ages, you went to sleep at sometime around three in the morning. You slept for thirteen hours." That was like forever, even for me who could and would spend all day in bed happily.
"Thirteens a bad number, throw some salt over your shoulder." Gerard and I stared at Frank for a moment while he sat there and drank his cold cup of coffee.
"What? I'm superstitious." Gee snorted, ignored Franks request and went back to talking with me.
"Do you want to come to our concert tonight? You'll get to be backstage though so there'll be a lot of people running around doing stuff. I think you'd be better off backstage than down the front in the crowd." I think I'd explode from happiness if I got to see My Chemical Romance perform live, it would be so amazing.
"Are you sure? I don't want to take advantage of you or intrude and annoy the anyone." That was something I always freaked out about, I didn't want to overstay my welcome or push the boundaries of their kindness.
"Yep, it's no problem. I'd rather have you safe backstage than in the crowd. You'd be overwhelmed and probably knocked over." I grinned and nodded, I've never wanted to spend a couple of hours of my life surrounded by people more.
"If you were in the pit Gee would be paranoid for the whole show, I can imagine it now. He'd be on the dead mic 'is she okay? Was she knocked over?'" Gerard gave a small nod and looked slightly embarrassed about it.
"You have no idea how rough it gets, I wouldn't want to be down there. Teenagers scare the living shit out of me." I laughed and nodded, it sounded like high school in a nutshell.
"If you've finished eating go and get dressed so you won't be rushing around when we get to the hotel." I untangled myself from the blankets I was still wearing and picked up my empty bowl put it in the sink and went to the bunks to get dressed.
"By the way you slept through your guitar lessons." I stopped and looked at Frank who hadn't moved from his spot at the table.
"Sorry but what are you going to do? Throttle me?" He laughed and gave me his mischievous grin. He'd never hurt me but he could probably come up with a pretty crazy sounding punishment.
"Na, don't be ridicules. You'll only have to work twice as hard tomorrow." I frowned and what I saw earlier as a cheeky grin I now saw as an evil smirk.
"You shouldn't be putting so much time into me, you have a show to do." I had been talking to Frank but it was Gee who shrugged and responded.
"You keep our minds off the nerves." It was a ridiculous thought that My Chem got nervous.
"How the hell could you get nervous, you're all so perfect." They laughed as if what I was saying was meant to be funny.
"I do have to admit, we are damn perfect. I'm more awesome than Gee though." Frank grinned at Gerard who didn't look like he cared much.
"Don't be so mean to Gerard." I stuck my tongue out at him and walked into the other room while Gee and Frank laughed in the kitchen.
I took a while to find the right set of clothes and I had to get dressed quickly because Frank insisted on using the bus shower. I'd tried to explain to him that we'd be at the hotel in half an hour so he only had to wait until then and he could have a shower that wasn't on a bus.
He didn't listen to me though and I left the bathroom with a huff.
It didn't bring my mood down though, if anything my attitude was improved by the clothes I was wearing...
My new blue jeans with turquoise swirls and a black vampire bat shirt that was a bit tight but I was still determined to wear.
I'd put my shoes on when I had to get off the bus, wearing shoes all the time annoyed the hell out of me.
And makeup? Screw makeup, I used to wear it but in all honesty it annoyed the fuck out of me.
I was also emotionally unstable seventy percent of the time so my mascara would nearly always end up running.
Besides who would I be wearing makeup for?
Not me and there weren't any guys I was trying to impress.
"You're looking unusually cranky." Gerard observed as I pulled a can of Pepsi out of the fridge. I cracked the top on it and took a sip.
Bubbly, flavoured, sugar, was ever a greater thing invented?
Well, maybe all things that play and record music.
"Frank kicked me out of the bathroom so he could have a shower." He chuckled and I sighed, there was nothing wrong with wanting to be clean but he didn't even give me a chance to fix my hair.
"Here's how you get revenge on Frankie." Gerard went over to the kitchen sink and turned on the hot water tap.
Nothing happened.
"Uh." He held his finger in the air, shushing me from a distance.
"Wait for it." A couple of seconds passed then I heard what Gee was taking about.
"Gerard! Turn the fucking hot water back on!"
It was mean but I laughed even though I hadn't asked Gee to get revenge on Frank it was still slightly funny.
"Three cheers for sweet revenge" I said holding up the can like a toast, Gee laughed.
He left the tap running and went over to the fridge in search of something to eat while Frank was stuck in a freezing shower.
I felt like it was my fault that he was stuck with cold water so I turned off the tap.
Before my hand had left it Frank walked into the kitchen with only a towel wrapped around his waist.
"Gerard what did I say abo-" He stopped near the bench and look at me with my hand still incriminatingly on the tap even though it wasn't my fault.
"How did you know that turning on the hot water would turn the shower into the arctic?" I opened my mouth to verbally point the finger at Gerard who was eating an apple as if he hadn't done a thing.
"What are you doing?" I said as Frank walked up to me and wrapped his freezing arms around my body. I squealed as his wet skin soaked the fabric of my shirt and he laughed evilly before letting me go and walking out of the kitchen.
"Why did he do that?!" I pulled the wet bottom of the shirt away from my stomach, yep my shirt was soaked and I'd have to put another one.
"I should have mentioned that, he does it to everyone if you turn the tap on while he's in the shower. Sorry about that." Gerard didn't appear to be very sorry, he actually had a grin on his face. At least my jeans were dry, I thought while allowing myself a self pitying sigh.
Meh, my top was already ruined why not get revenge once more.
I waited a couple of minutes then turned the tap back on and stood behind Gerard who was still eating his apple casually. Frank walked into the room again and it wasn't hard to tell that he knew I was the one who turned on the tap this time.
"Gerard did it the first time and you've already got me so hug him instead." I pointed at Gee while standing on the other side of the room.
Frank laughed and wrapped his arms around Gerard who stood there as if nothing was happening to him, once finished Frank disappeared from the room a second time.
"Doesn't matter so much for me. I get to change my clothes later, you don't." I'd forgotten that Gee had a clothes change when he went on stage to perform.
My revenge was just ruined.
"Fun wrecker." I said with a fake glare which Gerard responded to by taking a bite out of his apple. I went back to my duffle bag, got out a new shirt and waited for Frank to finish in the shower so I could get changed.
I stood in front of the bathroom for ten minutes, waiting for Frank to hurry up and get out of the shower.
When he didn't I sighed and gave up and went into the bunks.
Gerard was in the kitchen, Frank was in the bathroom and Mikey, Ray and Bob were in the drivers cabin at the front trying to do something or other that Gee had mentioned and I'd forgotten.
In seconds my wet top was replaced with a dry one and I threw the shirt into plastic bag that I'd kept for laundry.
My new shirt was at a tie for favorite shirt with the vampire bat one. I looked at my top and grinned as I read the words.
'I won't keep calm because I'm not okay.'
It was the shirt company pun about the almost cliche 'keep calm and carry on'.
It was one of my favorites because of the My Chemical Romance reference.
"What are you up to?" Frank had finally finished in the shower and by the looks of it gotten dressed in the bathroom.
"Replacing the top that you waterlogged. Thanks for that by the way." He grinned at me as I zipped up my duffle bag and patted Peanut who was asleep on the bed.
The hotel had agreed to let the band have a baby fox in the rooms but she had to be quiet and clean.
Except for the occasional chirp she did that anyway.
"I knew that you didn't turn on the tap." As he talked he dried his hair with a towel and I gave him a real, cranky, teenage girl glare.
"Why'd you wreck my shirt then?" He shrugged and grinned.
"You were there and the look on your face was funny." That is precisely what I could imagine him saying when he would be arrested for the murder of someone one day.
'Why did you kill this person?' He'd shrug, grin and say.
'They were there and the look on their face was funny.'
Yup, that's how Franks murder trial was going to work.
"If you try to wreck my shirt again I will kill you and I'll enjoy it." He giggled a bit because he doubted my ability to murder him.
"Your laughing because I'm small aren't you?" His grin got wider.
"A little bit."
"Have you ever seen an angry chihuahua?" Frank looked confused almost immediately.
"I made one angry by accident once, why?" I gave him my best evil stare that I could manage, which wasn't saying much because I'm bad at scaring people.
"You're pissing off a chihuahua, me. That chihuahuas angry because you ruined its shirt."
"Should I be scared?" He said tossing his towel onto the bands laundry bin that I had no intentions of ever sharing.
"Very." With that I walked out of the room, leaving that word to hang ominously behind me.
Gerard was on the couch and looked away from the tv and at me.
"What was that about? I think I heard something to do with chihuahuas." I shrugged and dropped onto the couch next to him as he turned down the tv.
"Nothing much, I was just threatening Frank." Gee nodded as if that was something he heard everyday, which he probably did.
Frank did plenty of mischievous things that would make people want to murder, maim or in general do something mean to him.
"Kicking him will work. We're gonna be at the city in ten minutes and at the hotel in five so put your shoes on." I grabbed my shoes from the beside the couch and pulled them on.
"Why am I supposed to be intimidated by a fairy?" Frank said as he walked into the room and I took a moment of my time to glare at him.
I've got some bad memories when it comes to fairies, when I was a little girl I liked to read a lot of dark fairy tales and would end up scaring the heck out of myself on a regular basis because I thought it was fun.
"What if that fairy happened to be a fairy chihuahua?" I laced up my shoes and stood. The excitement of going to a My Chem concert, backstage crept up on me slowly and it was about to pounce.
"I see the error of my ways. I shall rethink my actions from now on." I knew that Frank would still continue to do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted.
I went to the window and looked through the glass.
There weren't skyscrapers all over the place yet but I could see the beginnings of the city.
This was going to be my first time in a big city, I wonder what the people here will be like.
The bus entered a tunnel and the room got dark quickly.
Lights flickered past the window as I stood there like an over excited kid, which I sorta was, the over excited part because I'm not a kid.
My heart started to beat fast as we came out the other side of the tunnel and I looked at the buildings that loomed over the population like giants.
I'm going to a My Chemical Romance concert with the band!
This is the greatest thing that has happened and will ever happen to me.
The city is so beautiful, there are so many lights and they stand out so brightly against the five pm sky.
I probably look like a hyperactive jack russell right now but who gives a fuck?
The answer, not me.
Snow covered the ground and twinkled as the lights hit it at all the right angles.
If it looks this awesome at night then I can only imagine how great it must look by day.
There is so much snow for me to play in!
I giggled at my stupid thoughts and was glad no one would ever be able to hear them. I watched closely as the bus passed by nightclubs, restaurants, hotels and countless other business's that couldn't be bothered naming.
If I stay around in this world then this will definitely be how I'll spend the rest of my life.
Traveling around the world and seeing all the beautiful, magnificent, strange and fascinating city's that came with it. The bus went around a corner and passed a long row of hotels that looked fancy and expensive.
Some had limos parked out front with concierges helping people out of them, other hotels had gigantic water features out the front with a whole light show going on.
"Everything's so bright and pretty." I murmured while looking at a waterfall outside a hotel.
"If you like this then you should stick around and see Las Vegas. We'll be going there for April next year if I remember correctly." Gerard said as he came to stand next to me while I stared out the window with my mouth hanging open.
"What's Vegas like?" I managed to tear my eyes away from the buildings long enough to look at Gerard.
"We've only been there once but there were light shows, carnivals casinos, magicians. It was kind of like a weird Wonderland."
That sounded wonderful, I'd love to go there one day.
"What do you mean by weird Wonderland?" I wanted to know as much as possible about the place from his perspective.
"This was during Bullets and I was stoned the whole time so I'm not sure if it was just me or everything was actually like that but you'd have people performing plays on the street and people breathing fire and neon everywhere. It was like being stuck in a funhouse." Gerard was enhancing his description of the place through hand gestures like I'd do by accident sometimes.
"Mind you Gee was also on cocaine and other drugs the whole time." Frank interjected, not enjoying being left out of the conversation.
"Yeah I was, we were there for a week and it was practically a freestyle reenactment of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Do you know that movie?"
Do I know that movie? It's my second favorite and I've seen it about sixty times.
"'We can't stop here! This is bat country!'" I said one of my favorite lines from the movie, Gee and Frank grinned at me because they recognized the line.
"You should definitely come to Vegas with us, you'll love it. There won't be coke or other drugs though. Especially for me, you know that Gee's my only drug." Frank threw his arms around Gerard's neck and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Gerard responded by pushing him away and moving closer to me.
"Knock it off Frankie, you're weirding me out right now." Frank grinned because we all knew that he was mucking around.
While I've been on the bus I'd noticed they'd almost have a competition of who could freak each other out more with the Frerard stuff, Frank would always be the one who crossed the boundary so he won every single time and to be perfectly honest it freaked me out more than it did with Gerard.
They would say completely inappropriate stuff while I'd sit there with my eyes wide, wondering if they were kidding or not because they said it with such straight faces.
Although they both drew a line when it came to touching each other, the most I'd seen either of them do was kiss each other on the cheek and even then it would mainly be Frank doing the kissing.
He'd kiss everyone within reach whether it was Mikey, Ray, Gee or even Bob, he didn't kiss me though and I wasn't sure how I felt about that.
Frank would also sit on almost everyone, because of his size he could get away with it and none of them seemed to mind if he would sit on one of the band members during breakfast.
"Hey is that the hotel!?" Frank looked around me and out the window at the building with a large water feature.
Gerard glanced out the window and pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket.
"Unless there is one more than one hotel in the city called The Bloody Evangeline then I think this is the one."
Who the fuck came up with the idea of calling a hotel The Bloody Evangeline?!
I do not like the sound of this.
Gerard noticed the look on my face.
"I'm not in control of what hotel gets booked, I think that it was named this because the hotel is on a most haunted list." There is no fucking way that I'm staying here!
"Uh, I'll sleep on the bus thanks." Hope that they enjoy the haunted hotel, I'm not even gonna go in. I went and sat on the couch with my arms crossed.
"Fallyn, I've stayed at 'haunted' place before. It's all lies that they use to get people to go there. Everything will be fine." Frank tried to comfort me but I still didn't want to go in or near the hotel.
"I promise that everything will be fine." Gerard joined him and my determination wavered slightly.
If this place is actually haunted my heart won't survive the night.
I can handle the dark and what my imagination puts in it but a place that is considered haunted by other people is a whole other matter.
"I don't know, I believe in the supernatural and ouija boards. I'm scared easily and not the kind of person who should stay in a place like this." My palms sweated at the thought of spending the night in a place that has ghosts and other spooky shit.
"One night. If you don't like it I'll call up our tour manager and get him to find us a different place to stay at, I got him to book a room for just you so it shouldn't be that hard." If I could make it though one night and no spooky stuff happened then I might be able to deal.
"What do you mean that about a room booked for me?" It confused me what Gee said and I was curious.
"I thought that you'd be a bit tired of sharing with us so you have a room to yourself. It's on the same level as our rooms so you'll be able to talk to us whenever you want." The thought of spending a night by myself in a dark room at a hotel that was supposedly haunted didn't make me feel any better but I didn't want to cause a hassle for the band.
"Okay, I'll stay there but if something happens I'm getting on the bus and not getting off until the next city." I said, standing up as the bus pulled to a stop outside the hotel.
Gerard went into the bunk area and brought out his bags along with my single duffle bag.
Ray, Bob, Mikey and Frank got their bags while Gee and I went to the front of the bus to wait for the others. Peanut didn't have a problem with staying still in my arms as we got off the bus and walked towards the hotel.
The interior was obviously designed to make the person feel creeped out and if not I still felt uncomfortable. I'm not sure what the guys thought but Mikey and Bob didn't look as if they enjoyed it here.
Frank, Ray and Gerard made it very obvious they thought the idea was awesome.
The ice that crawled up my skin as I looked at the old paintings on the dark walls made me even more positive that sleeping on the bus was a better idea.
Gee and Frank checked us in while I stood close to the entrance with my duffle bag that I'd refused to give to the concierge.
The receptionist who was likely in her mid twenties gave Frank an overly friendly smile and I glared at her before realizing that I had no right to act like that. Frank could be interested in whoever he wanted.
Gerard gave me my room key, that was a literal key and he told me my room number.
Everyone got an individual room so they wouldn't be forced to share with the exception of Gerard and Mikey who had a suite with separate bedrooms.
I'd gotten a room at the end of the hall so it didn't seem like it was the same floor as everyone else. This unnerved me further but I didn't want to cause trouble and I kept my mouth shut.
We got given an hour and a half by Gee to settle in and organize whatever needed to be done before we headed to the concert hall.
I closed the door behind me and looked at a painted black room. A bed sat in the corner of the room and across from it sat a couch and tv.
There was a small kitchenette with the basic hotel essentials like a kettle and a fully stocked mini bar.
The bathroom was simple and had a large claw footed bath that took up most of the space.
I once I'd finished exploring the room I put my duffle bag on the bed and Peanut on the floor, she chirped at me happily before running under the bed.
At least she liked it here, the decorations and theme of the room made me want to run away.
The chances of me getting any sleep tonight was unlikely.
I put the room key on the kitchen bench and sat down on my bed that was surprisingly soft.
Who would want to stay at a hotel called The Bloody Evangeline?
People who are interested in the supernatural and want a thrill I guess.
The lobby was full of guests who looked fascinated by the brochure they had shoved under their noses.
I hope the band is having fun right now, they seem to like things based around horror movies or the dark side.
While lying there I grabbed the brochure from my pillow and opened it.
----------------------
'Built and run by the Helfried family in the 1880s this former bed and breakfast became successful quite quickly and was well known among travelers.
During the year 1944 with the B & B on the verge of becoming a full scale hotel while being run by the third generation of the Helfried family, a member became seriously ill and was treated here in this very hotel.
The older daughter, Evangeline became a victim of a rare mental disease that would cause uncontrollable rage and bouts of amnesia.After being treated for three years unsuccessfully the twenty year old supposedly heard her family planning to admit her into a psychiatric institution indefinitely.
The stress caused by her knowledge of their plans advanced the disease and caused her to permanently lose control.It's believed that while angered and unable to remember her own name the girl went about the building with a butcher knife demanding that people tell her, her name.
When they answered her question, whether correct or not she stabbed them repeatedly.She journeyed angrily through the building, brutally murdering guests and staff without mercy or compassion.
Once Evangeline reached the level of the building that housed her family she'd worked up to such a rage that she murdered her family without question.The victims counted her parents, older brother and four younger sisters between the ages of sixteen and eight.
The only surviving member of that generation was the youngest member Ella who was only four years old.Once grown up and married Ella decided to put the past behind her by renovating the old bed and breakfast and reopening it as a hotel with the family's remaining fortune.
Three months after the official opening of the Helfried hotel Ella was found catatonic in the lobby with a bloodied butcher knife. She, like her sister, had murdered guests, staff and family members.
Her husband was found stabbed to death in the hotel dining room with ninety of the three hundred and thirty three guests.All not present in the dining room were found dead in their rooms, it was unknown why no one escaped.
Ella was taken to a mental institution and was diagnosed with the same medical condition as her older sister Evangeline who had been admitted to the same asylum and was found dead mysteriously three days later.
Like her sister, Ella was admitted to the asylum and three days later she was found dead with her wrists slit. There were no accessible objects within the padded cell.
Because of its prime location and well built foundation this old building has been repeatedly purchased by different entrepreneurs with their own plans for the building.
Some wished to reopen the hotel, some attempted to renovate it so it could be turned into a series of apartments and some wanted to knock it down and build a skyscraper in its place.
Each time the buyer had given up by having their wills broken by the frequent paranormal sightings.
Whether is been three days, weeks, months or years.Different people have reported different sightings.Some have said that they've heard screams coming from the hallways. Unexplainable blood stains have been found on clothing.
If you are really unlucky there is a chance that you might see the ghostly figures of the Helfried family and other cursed guests who fell victim to the Helfried sisters wrath.
Ella and Evangeline are said to walk the floors on occasion with their wrists dripping blood and a butcher knife dangling from their hands.
Three seems to be an unlucky number in this building, especially the room with the most reported haunted experiences, 333.
What's your door number?'
---------------------------
My blood ran cold. I tossed the pamphlet across the room and it disappeared underneath the red couch.
This is fucking stupid, I'm not even sure if I've been here for an hour and I want to leave, right now.
But Gerard went out of his way to get the tour manager to book a room for me to stay in and it would be ungrateful for me to say I was leaving. I sat up and looked around the room, it was pretty, I wouldn't stop being creeped out though.
Where's Peanut? I haven't seen her since she ran under the bed.
"Peanut? Where are you sweetie?" I got off the bed and sat on the ground to check under it.
She could have fallen asleep if it was warm enough, she did that a lot.
"Peanut?" There's was an empty dark space under the bed and I still couldn't see her.
Suddenly something came rushing out from underneath the bed in an explosive manner and I almost had a heart attack.
"There you are." I sighed picked up Peanut who was sitting on the floor chirping away as if I hadn't almost died from fright.
I'm already jumpy at the thought of having to stay at The Bloody Evangeline for three days, Peanuts behavior wasn't helping.
Maybe I'm just being an idiot, the history of this place mightn't even be real and they lied to get people to stay here.
As night fell the room got darker and I got off my bed to turn on the lights.
I flicked the light switch and waited for a couple of second for the lights to come on and brighten the room.
There was no change in the rooms lighting.
I looked at the note stuck to the back of the door and read it.
'Due to electricity problems the lighting in this room isn't reliable, so all power to the lights has been disconnected.
In place of the electric lighting candles and matches have been supplied, please use them responsibly.
Snuff candles during sleeping and departure from the room.
Please forgive us for the inconvenience and use the candles to better the experience of your stay at The Bloody Evangeline.
Sincerely the hotel manager.'
This is not going to better my stay or anything else. Did Gerard ask the tour manger to get me the most fucked up room possible?
There was a knock on the door and I jumped back, not expecting the sudden sound.
Without bothering to look through the peephole I opened the door.
Gerard gave me a smile and I smiled back. He was already dressed in his black suit and red tie, the only thing missing was a black bar across his eyes that he'd probably put on in the dressing room.
Then realization kicked in, he didn't look like Gee my friend from the bus, he looked like Gerard Way the lead singer of a punk rock band My Chemical Romance.
"Hey, Fallyn. What do you think of your room?"
What do I think of my room?
It's creepy, eery, possibly haunted, is dark and will be staying dark unless I happen to light a candle because the power had to be shut off for safety reasons.
"It's really nice, I like it." The only thing I liked in this room was the bed, because it was soft and would make a good place to die when I was murdered by the ghosts that walk the halls.
"See, it's not that bad. We're gonna leave in a little bit. Mikey's gotta straighten his hair then it's off to the concert." Peanut chirped at Gerard's feet and he gave her a pat, she liked him a lot.
"Okay, I'll get her a bowl of water and I'll leave my door unlocked so just come and get me when you're ready to go." Gee nodded and gave me another smile before going back to his room.
I closed the door and looked at Peanut who was walking around and examining everything.
I got a bowl out of the small kitchen cupboard and filled it with water from the tap then put it on the bathroom floor so Peanut wouldn't get dehydrated while we were away.
Despite me hating this room I was starting to feel incredibly excited and let out a small squeal.
This is going to be the awesomest thing ever.
I fixed my hair in front of the mirror by the side of my bed.
The room wasn't too dark yet so I didn't bother wasting a match on a candle right now, I'd only be here for a couple more minutes anyway.
I put Peanut on the bed, she seemed to understand what I wanted her to do and curled up in between the six or so pillows heaped against the wrought iron headboard.
There was another knock on my door and I opened it, I'd told Gerard to come in if he wanted, he probably forgot.
"I said to just walk in." I accidentally said to Frank who had knocked and was standing there looking confused.
"Uh, no you didn't." He'd also dressed for the concert. He was wearing a white, long sleeve shirt, a red tie, black jeans and what appeared to be a bullet proof vest.
Despite the dramatic difference a simple clothes change made with Gerard, Frank continued to look like, well, Frank.
He played his guitar on the bus a lot so I already thought of him as the My Chem rhythm guitarist. Gerard was different, he didn't walk around the bus singing Helena all the time, he'd hum but that was it.
"Sorry, I thought you were Gerard, he was here not long ago, I thoughts he was gonna come and get me, I'm sorry to make you go out of your way." Frank nodded and stuck his hands into the pockets of his jeans.
"It's worth the couple extra steps, you look cute." My face went bright red and I forgot to breath for a moment.
"So do you. Where are the guys?" He looked down the hallway even though it was obvious they weren't there.
"Our ride showed up. They're already in the van." At least I'd finished setting up everything I needed to first. I grabbed my room key from the bench, stepped around Frank and out the door.
"Is that really bullet proof?" I asked, checking out his vest before locking the door with the key behind me.
"Would you like to shoot me and find out? He gave me a mischievous grin and I almost believed he was being serious, "I'm sure Bob has a gun to keep away all the ladies."
"Maybe later." I said pocketing the room key as we walked down the empty hallway.
We got into the elevator and he pushed the ground floor button.
"You don't like your room do you?" I didn't have any idea how he managed to figure out my intense dislike for the hotel and my room.
"No the room's nice, the bed's very comfy and the bath looks nice." I mentioned the only redeemable features of the whole hotel, that is unless they have a nacho stand.
"You sure? I can convince Gee to get us another hotel if you feel creeped out." I hated the place but I wasn't going to make him do that.
If I'm able to survive high school then I can live through three days at a haunted hotel.
"I'm sure, thanks for the offer though." He gave me a smile and I returned it as we walked out the front door.
Gerard waved at us from the taxi van, Frank and I got in and I sat next to Gee and buckled up my seat belt.
My pulse raced as we pulled away from the curb and started moving towards the concert hall.
Holy what?
I just read this and it was amazing and now it's four am.
I loved it. Seriously. You are a fantastic writer, and I cannot wait for the next book!
The only thing that I didn't like was the misspelling of ridiculous. Every time. xD
But otherwise, it was awesome.
