Star Crossed Lovers

Gerard and I walked towards the edge of the woods in silence, taking in the dark night illuminating the woods with the glow of the moon. Listening to the animals of the night creep around us, avoiding Gerard; sensing he was a predator to beware. I squeezed his hand in mine and felt his eyes land on me looking at every part of me taking in every detail. I figured I should speak to him about Ray's and Pete's reaction.

"So Gerard." I say turning my head towards him and making immediate eye contact with his beautiful hazels that seem to be glowing, giving them a shimmer of gold within them. Becoming lost in their beauty I let my mouth hang open with unspoken words, watching as the corners of his eyes crinkle up with the amused smile appearing on his face.

"Yes Frankie?" He says his tone also amused as he is.

"Hehe...Sorry. Um..I actually wanted to speak to you about my friends."

"Oh! The ones Mikey and Bob are mated to?"

"Yeah. Well I talked to them and I don't think they want to believe it. They are okay with what we have but when it comes to themselves is were they are kind of...denying it I guess?"

"If they feel as strongly as you do then why would they do that?"

"They're just afraid. It's different than just liking someone, the feeling is indescribable. The feeling I get at least, is that NO ONE else but you matters. You are my heart, my soul, my very reason for existing and nothing matters but you and how you feel or what you want. I live for you Gerard."

His eyes light up even more as I speak, reaching a hand towards me he cups my cheek and I lean into his caress. Tilting my face as he brings his closer pressing a gentle kiss upon my lips. When we part I look around quickly and realize that we had reached the edge of the woods, with one more chaste kiss we part ways running home in the dead of the night.

The next day I wait at the front of the school for Gerard, with Ray and Pete grumbling and whining in the background about how he was gonna make us late.

"I never asked you guys to wait with me. So just go!"

"We always go into the school together!"

"That's bullshit! Come on just admit it you two! You guys want to see them. Don't you?"

"No I don't!"

"Hahaa!"

I laugh as they shout simultaneously, faces turning red. They just roll their eyes and continue to stand behind me, secretly waiting to see their own loves. I'm about to head inside when an unfamiliar black car pulls up along the curb of the school. The driver stepping out to open the back door, he outstretched his hand towards the handle opening the door letting the person inside out.

Out steps a tall guy, black hair with one red streak, a scruffy beard as if he hadn't shaved in a week or so, and a leering grin on his features as he turned to face the whoever was next to exit the vehicle. Out comes a Mikey and Bob who grimace at the sight of the creepy guy quickly thanking him for the ride and walking towards us. They smile as they see the two bumbling idiots standing next to me, who also smile back but rapidly revert back to their poker faces. Disregarding their odd behavior the two vamps stand next to them waiting along with us.

Looking back to the car I see my Gerard coming out of the car with a scowl gracing his beautiful face. Quickly he looks to me and my pulse starts to race when he gives me a small smile. Which quickly falls when the stranger wraps his arm around MY Gerard! I feel anger rise in me and my fist tighten especially when the guy dosen't let go despite Gerards protest. I'm ready to march over there and rip the guy apart when I feel two hands on me along with two quiet whispers of,"Don't."

looking behind me I see it's Mikey and Bob holding me back, I'm about to ask why when the walking pair who were now less than ten feet away turned to face us. Gerard with an apologetic look and the guy with a wink as he raised his sunglasses revealing his eyes.

I feel myself tense and my urge to kill grow. But the urge to protect my heart and soul which is walking right next to that monstrosity is stronger. I can sense Ray and Pete feel the same because no matter how much they had been denying it Ray couldn't help but to grab Mikey around the waist protectively. Pete also getting a hold of Bob's hand while glaring at the stranger, throwing silver daggers with his eyes.

Trying to calm myself down I follow behind them into the school wishing I could just stake that leech motherfucker through the heart already.
