One Day

...We'll be together forever.

There’s just one thing I hate about being in love with him: the way he uses the phrase one day.

One day, you and me, we’ll be together forever.
One day, you and me will be able to lay in bed for hours on end because everyone will know we’re in love.
One day, my son will know you as his step-daddy and your daughter will know me as her step-daddy.
One day, you and Lindsey will have filled for a divorce and you’ll be all mine.

I know, if I wasn’t with my wife still, there would be no need for him to use that stupid little phrase ever again but I just can’t do it, I can’t leave my wife for another man.

Laying in a hotel bed, the sheets tangled and our bodies drenched in sweat. His eyes sparkled as I laced our hands together, smiling deeply at him before sighing lightly.

“Enjoy your birthday present?”

Brian laughed lightly, nodding lightly before he lent forward and pressed his lips to mine. A innocent ‘thank-you’ kiss turned into a hot passion that lasted much longer then Brian had intended the kiss to last.

"One day Gerard, we'll be together."

He muttered, our eyes connected, our bodies pressed right against each others. His breathing was steady but mine wasn’t, mine was slightly faster than before our kiss...

"One day, you'll stop using the phrase, one day."

A frown appeared on his lips as he sighed loudly; sitting up before swinging his legs over the side of the bed, out of the sheets.

“One day, you’ll leave Lindsey for me.”

He grabbed his deep purple boxers from off the bedroom floor as I sat up, blinking a couple of times.

“One day, you’ll realize the longer you leave it, the more Lindsey and Bandit are going to hate you.”

His tight black jeans were on after his white socks, and then his plain white shirt.

“One day, you’re going to wake up and realize I don’t want to be the ‘other man’ for much longer.”

He slipped on his smart black boots before grabbing his long black trench coat from off of the floor.

“One day, you’re going to open your eyes and I’ll be gone.”
