Mikey's POV
Frank looked excited. I could tell because he kept looking at me in the rear view mirror, happiness filling his eyes. I looked away from him and the man that was curled up on the back seat next to me. His red hair and feminine-ish features looked more familiar now and I could feel a name bubble to the surface of my mind.
"Gerard." I said slowly, tasting the name as it rolled off my tongue.That name sounded familiar. Other words followed it, ones that I knew were related to this new face that I had found a name for. "Gee. Big brother." I said aloud to myself.
I noticed him stir and I watched as he opened his eyes he glanced at me for a second andsadness filled his features for a moment before he turned away and looked out the window.
"Morning, Gee." I said to him. He froze and whipped his head around to look at me.
"M-Mikey?" He asked me.
"Yea that's me." I said. "And that's Frank." I said pointing to Frank.
"Yea, I-I know who Frank is." Gerard said to me with a smile on his face. "But do you know who that is?" He said pointing to the guy in the passenger seat with the fro.
"No." I shook my head.
Gerard bit his lip and leaned forward slightly to talk to Frank. "What do we do?" He asked Frank. Frank just shook his head.
"I don't know." he replied.
Suddenly the car stopped. There was another road to our left that stretched out in a straight line all the way to the horizon.
"You don't think it's-" Frank started.
"It can't be, we're not even close to Battery City yet." Gerard said.
"Maybe we got the location wrong."
"Its worth a shot."
"This is our chance."
"Wake up Ray."
Frank leaned over and shook the shoulder of the man with the fro, Ray I'm guessing was his name. He was the one that one kissed me. As that memory flashed through my mind something tugged at my brain, my lips tingled slightly and I shuddered even though I wasn't cold.
"Ray." I said aloud, just like had Gerard's.
He jerked awake and turned to look at me. I could feel everyone's eyes on me now. The road was forgotten and now I think everyone was waiting for me to say something. But what were they waiting for me to say? I opened my mouth and didn't expect anything to come out, but my slowly awakening mind was on a different page and instead I blurted out "I love you."
The car was silent. Ray fully turned in his seat and now was looking at me with happiness in his eyes. I felt a pressure on my back and I leaned forward.
"Now's your chance." I overheard Frank whisper in Ray's ear.
Ray leaned around the seat and grabbed my face in his hands , I leaned forward more and put one of my hands on his shoulder, pulling him towards me a bit more. I wasn't really entirely aware of what I was doing, but I was doing it. Or lips met. They fit together perfectly and Ray moved one of hands to the back of my neck, deepening the kiss. This all felt so familiar and so right. He ran his tongue along my bottom lip and I poked mine out slightly so that I could taste him.
Then it all came back to me. Every memory of Ray, every kiss, every smile, every hug, the nights we spent cuddling together. Everything. He broke away from me and looked me in the eyes. "I love you too." He whispered to me.
I felt a smile spread across my face as I pressed our foreheads together.
