Frank's POV
*Time lapse*
I stopped the car outside of Dr Death's hideout. I saw movement behind one of the dirty windows and a few seconds later a guy on rollerblades wearing a shirt that had 'noise' written on the front came out.
"I'm Show Pony, are you looking for Dr Death?" He asked me.
"Uh, Fun Ghoul, and yea." I said as I got out of the car. Gerard followed and Ray was already out and walking around. Mikey was still asleep in the back. We should probably leave him there, he might try and run away or something if we woke him up. But then he might wake up anyway and run away. "I'll sit in the door and keep an eye on Mikey in case he wakes up and tries to run." I said.
Gee and Ray nodded and followed Show Pony inside. I sat down in the doorway and listened as they sat down and Show Pony went off the get Dr Death. I heard him enter and greet them.
"So what brings you here this time?" Dr Death asked.
Gerard answered him. "You heard that Kobra didn't make it last time we were in Battery City?"
"Yes, I'm sorry." Dr Death replied.
"Well about this time yesterday we found him in a residential area close the outskirts of Battery City. He's a Bat. We managed to grab him and bring him with us, but we need to know how to reverse whatever BL/ind did to him. We were wondering if you knew anyone who would know anything about Bats and the hypnotism process. We really just need to know if it's irreversible or not." Gerard finished his explanation and I listened for Dr Death's response. The silence was so loud I thought I had missed what he said.
"I don't know anyone that could help." He said finally. My mind just went blank. "But," I perked up. "I have heard a rumour that if Bats are exposed to parts of their past life they can make a recovery. It'll be a slow one, but I heard that it's similar to if someone loses their memory."
I didn't hear anything else and then I heard Ray's voice say "You know I can't do that."
"Is there anything else you needed while you're here?" Dr Death asked.
"We're doing fine with supplies, and we're going to leave soon, we don't intend to stay." Gerard replied.
"Okay, well good luck with Kobra." He said.
"Thanks, Dr Death." I heard Gee say and then I listened to their footsteps as they approached where I was sitting. I looked up as Gee stood next me, Ray carried on and got in the car, taking the driver's side. "What did you ask him?" I asked Gerard, nodding my head in Ray's direction.
"I asked him to help Mikey remember."
"I agree with him, he can't do that." I said.
"Well someone is going to have to." Gee said and walked to the car. I got up and followed. Gerard go in the back, so I took shotgun. Mikey didn't stir when we got in or when Ray started the car. Man, the kid still slept like a koala. We were only five minutes down the road when he woke up. He jolted upright, looked out the window, looked at all of us and then started freaking out.
"What are you doing? Where am I? Why am I here? Who you are you? Why me? What do you think you're doing? You know BL/ind are going to find you and kill you. Take me home. Let me go. Just dump me on the side of the road. Please don't kill me." His words came out in a panicked rush and I actually felt a little sorry for him.
"Calm down, Mikey." Gerard said.
"Who's Mikey?" He asked looking a little confused.
"Does it sound familiar?" I asked hopefully.
"What does that have to with anything?" Mikey snapped at me.
"Oh, I was just wondering." I said. He didn't answer my question and I grew frustrated. "Ray pull over, please." I demanded.
"Why?" He asked.
"Just please do it."
"Okay." Ray said and pulled over on the side of the road.
I leaned forward and whispered in Ray's ear. "Now kiss him."
