You Really Need To Learn When To Stop Talking
When Jet woke me up, it was pitch black outside, the only reason I knew it was him was because the car's light was on and I could just barley make out is fro.
"Blue.." He cooed, "Come on, wake up."
"Why?" I whined, "It's dark, dark means sleep."
He chuckled, "Were all tired and were taking shifts on guard duty. Right now it's yours and Ghouls."
I groaned and started to get out of the car. "Then why are you waking me up and not small stuff?"
"My shift is done, and small stuff is up and taking a piss, he should be done by now, but only one way to find out." Then he laid down and started to fall asleep.
I closed the door and walked to the front of the car to see Party and Kobra asleep in there seat's. I heard footsteps coming towards me so I pulled my gun out and spun to whoever was coming at me and pointed my gun at them.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, take a chill pill Blue. It's just me." Ghoul said with his hands in the air, and I put my gun away.
"So...." He said sitting on the hood of the car, "How you liking everything here so far?"
"I love it, I love being out of Safe Haven."
"You don't miss it? Like, not one bit?"
"I miss a few things, like Bree and Reggie, but not the rules though."
"Wait Reggie, as in Jet's little brother?"
"Yeah, we were friends."
"Dude! That's so cool!"
"Shut-up! Don't wake the guys, they need there sleep." I said looking back at them. They were still asleep.
"Haha, so what rule did you not like?"
"I wasnt allowed to step one foot outside, and before Dr.D came to get me, I didn't."
"Wow, so this is all really new to you, isn't it?"
"Yup." I said popping the p.
"Cool, so did you know that girl?"
"There are a lot of girls at Safe Haven." I pointed out.
"I mean the one Korse wants, the one that was being transported to Korse, I don't know uh, 14 years or so ago. I remember hearing about her when I was there. I think her name started with a T, Tina, Teri." He listed a few names starting with a T.
"Tabitha..." I said in a small voice.
He snapped his fingers and pointed at me, "Yeah, her, did you know her?"
"You can say that."
"I'm catching a cold drift here." He stated.
"Sorry." I mumbled sitting on the hood and pulled my knee's to my chest.
"You really need to start trusting us, your gonna be stuck with us for a while." He said poking me with his elbow making me smile.
"I guess your right." I smiled shyly at him.
"So..... I'm waiting." He sang, making me laugh.
"Why dont you wake Party up and switch shifts with him, he should hear first."
"Okay..." He said getting off the hood and waking up Party. A few minutes later a tired Party came around to the front.
"Hey." He said rubbing his eyes and sitting in the hood next to me.
At this time the sky was a light blue, the sun hasn't made its appearance yet.
"I think it's time I'm honest with you...." I said not looking at him, he sat up straighter and looked at me.
"Go ahead."
"I'm not 17," I turned to face him, "I'm 14."
"God." He brought his hands to his hair and pulled it, "10 years." He mumbled.
"Are you mad?" I asked in a small voice. It took him a minute to answer but thank god he did.
"No," He sighed and pulled me so I was sitting on his lap, and I snuggled into his chest. "I'm just a bit shocked. Is that all?" He pulled away so he was looking at me.
"No.." He positioned me so I was forced to look at him and not hide in his chest.
"Go on..." He pressed.
"My name is-"
"If your not ready to tell me then you don't have to." He interrupted.
"If I'm gonna be honest, then I have to. My name is Tabitha...."
"Tabitha, that's pretty." He said smiling.
"I'll take it you didn't make the connection. Think about what Dr.D did 14 years ago."
"Uh, he did, a lot of things, he robbed the most stores that year I think, he rescued a baby...." I could almost see the wheels in his head turning making the connection. "That was you." It wasn't a question.
"Yeah... That's why he thinks of me as his own." I said.
"Wow." He said then looked away.
"Does this change anything between us?"
"Do you want it to?" He asked looking back at me.
"No, I really like you and I didn't wanna tell you because I thought it might change something between us and I really didn't-" He cut me off my kissing me.
"You really need to learn when to stop talking." He said when he pulled apart and then crashed our lips togther again and I wrapped my arms arouns his neck.
