The rest of class I zoned out, sketching. Nothing important happens on the first day anyways. I wish I had brought headphones so I could listen to music. My hair covers my ears and I can usually get away with it.
I caught that girl staring at me a few times. I think her name was Skylar. She was kind of pretty.
Walking out of class after the bell, I heard someone calling my name.
“Gerard? Gerard!” I walked out of the line of students and leaned up against the wall. That Skylar girl caught up with me, slightly out of breath. She shoved a scrap of notebook paper in my hand. “Call me!” she said, looking over her shoulder. I swear she winked.
*Time Lapse*
I was waiting for Mikey after school so we could walk home together. He came walking out of the building with his arm wrapped around a girl’s waist. Only Mikey.
Lagging a little behind them was a kid who looked really famila… IT WAS THE KID FROM THE MORNING!
He glanced up atme a blushed wildly. I realized I was staring at him. I hope he didn’t notice.
“Hey Gerard, this is Becca and that’s Frank, their coming over for a bit. Okay?” Mikey shouted. So I guess this was his older brother. Great.
“That’s fine, just hurry up!” I shouted at them, looking away.
