Frank's POV.

My face fell the moment I heard Gerard's voice on the other end of the phone.

Shit.

"I.. I.. What do you mean.." I whispered into the phone.

I went silent as I listened to what Gerard was saying and my face fell.

I was in so much trouble. "I.." I began, though frowned and looked down at my phone.

He'd hung up on me.

Why was it people looked down at their phone when someone hung up on them? It wasn't like frowning at it would fix anything.

"What do you mean you lost him?!" Gerard yelled at me, whilst Sarah sat on the sofa, sobbing into her hands.

"I.. I.."

"Seriously Frank! I ask you to look after him for one day, and you fucking lost him! Jesus Christ, I knew you didn't like him, but I didn't think you'd go this far.."

My face just fell. "You think this happened deliberately?! What the fuck Gerard?!" I frowned, tears in my eyes. "Of course I didn't plan this! How could you even think that?!"

"Because you hate him, don't fucking deny it!"

"I am going to deny it, actually." I sniffed. "We had a good day.. We were getting along so well, but then I looked down at your text and..-"

"Oh so it's my fault now?!"

Jesus. Gerard was stressed. I understood.. But I hadn't deliberately lost his precious child.

Gerard had already called the police, so they came round and asked a lot of questions before going off to look for Jamie.

It was only the next day I got a text, from an unknown number, saying they had Jamie, and to come to the address they'd typed out.

It also said I wasn't to tell anyone. Oh god, how was I supposed to do that?!

Though it seemed pretty easy.. Gerard hadn't spoken to me since the police had left the night before.

But, this person.. Whoever it was, they had my number, but I didn't have theirs.. Why the fuck did they have my number?! It wasn't like I gave it out to any old person.

'Okay. I'll be there.' I replied, my hands a little shaky.

I was nervous, but could you blame me?

"Back later!" I called into the silence and slipped into my car, putting in the address into my satnav before beginning to drive.

The closer I got, the more my heart sped up. I was going to a strangers address for a little boy, and I didn't even know if he was going to be there.

What the fuck was I doing? I should have told Gerard, I shouldn't have coke alone, though it was too late for that. I was already parking outside.

"You can do this.." I whispered, taking a deep breath before climbing out and walking to the door.

I knocked at the door and took a small step back, my hands shaking even more.

I saw the curtain from the window flicker for a second, before the door was opened.

I went to step forward though I froze when I saw who it was.
