I rolled out of bed at 6:29 exactly one minute till my alarm went off. Arg. Why cant I get one more fucking moment of sleep. I complained internally. I rolled the sheetsoff of my body and placed my hand on my forehead. I think I might have a fever.
I glanced at my iPhone, the light stung my eyes; I had one text from Mikey. Shit. I thought to myself What is it going to say? I opened the message and I was surprised to see just a simple 'Hey!' Okay, so now hes pretending it didn't happen. Maybe that's a good thing...? I wondered to myself as I got ready for the day.
My iPhone rung once again, this time it was a text from Gerard...
Gee: You ready for the dance today?
Me: Fuck, I forgot.
Gee: LOL! So anyways, Mikey?
Me: What? -_-
Gee: -_______- I know what happened. I know about the almost kiss.
Okay, well this is just great, Gerard, the sassiest person I have ever met knows who I like, oh and did I mention, that person I like is his BROTHER. I didn't know how to respond to that, so I just left it alone. I had to go anyways, Ray was probably wondering where the hell I was. I peered in the bathroom to see Ray styling his Afro.
I evilly laughed, hoping to scare him, but sadly it didn't work. “I know its you.” He laughed at me between brushing his hair. I walked downstairs and poured myself some tea as I waited for Gerard to pick Ray and I up.
As Ray walked down the stairs I saw him shake his head and laugh a little. “What?” I giggled at him “Oh nothing.” He smirked “Dude seriously?” I smiled back “I wanna know!” “Oh its just that my little cousin is in love with one of my best friends.” He rolled his eyes jokingly. “Hey! I'm only three months younger than you!” I whined, Ray rolled his eyes in return.
Gerard, Frank and Mikey rolled up in Rays drive way shortly afterward, Gerard shot me a secretive sly smile. I knew what he was thinking and he knew what I was thinking. I had to sit next to Mikey while we drove to school, it wasn't all that bad, we talked a little, but still no talk about the kiss. But I could understand why, Gerard, Frank, and Ray were siting in the car with us.
The day went by pretty fast, by the end of the day I was soo worried about the dance. Whats going to happen? Is Mikey going to ask me or someone else? Is he even going? I was beginning to have second thoughts. Maybe I shouldn't go, I could always return the dress and just stay at home and watch band interviews and pig out on ice cream.
Screw this. I thought to myself as I walked over to Gerard, I'm going to this dance, and I'm going to have fun. “Yo yo home girl.” Gerard smiled playfully at me as I approached him. “Sup?” I smiled gigging. “You taking Lindsay to the dance?” “Yeah, why not.” He smiled as he turned on his phone. “Aww you guys are so cute.” I smiled at him. In return he shot me a joking evil glare.
About five minuets later Ray rolled up to the front of the school. “Hey kids get in the car I have candy.” Ray smiled as he put the Trans Am in neutral. Gerard and I both rolled our eyes at the same time. We both hopped into the car and I was once again sandwiched between Frank and Mikey. Awkward indeed. “Soo Lucy.” Frank smirked raising his eye brows “Any boys ask you to the dance.” “Nope... No one.” I fake smiled. To be honest I didn't care that I was flying solo.
The ride back to my house was awkwardly silent, I looked over at Mikey and he looked back and we both started blushing. Oh god why. To be honest it would be nice if Mikey and I would get to go to the dance together, but no big deal. Well kind of.
