The next morning I woke up curled close to Gerard. He had one arm thrown around me and my head was pressed against his chest. It was freezing outside so I was glad to have his warmth. I guess my sleep deprived mind didn't quite process the fact that I was cuddling with a guy I barely knew.
"Morning sunshine." Gerard mumbled with a yawn. I gave a surprised yelp and almost fell off the shed.
"I thought you were asleep!" I said putting my hand over my heart.
"I was untill I woke up and you were practically on top of me." He explained.
I blush and look down embarrassedly. "Sorry."
"Dont worry I didn't mind." Gerard said with a wink. Now what the hell was that supposed to mean?
Gerard and I grabbed our bags and hopped off the old shed roof. We walked instill we came to a small town. It looked empty and cold. I shivered as we walked down the streets.
"Should we look around?" I ask.
"Yeah but let's be quick." Gerard replies.
We walk until we foundations an old grocery store.
"Lets go in." I suggest. Gerard nods in agreement.
"Stay out here while I check it out. " Gerard says, entering the store before I can argue. I wait outside the door tapping my foot when I hear voices.
"Motherfucker, what do you think your doing in our town?" A deep voice ask. I look up and see four large men walking towards me. They are all bigger than me and carry baseball bats. I begin to panic, what do I do? Gerard.
"Gerard!" I yell pulling out my gun and aiming it at the biggest guy. The group simply laughs at me and draws back their baseball bats. The smallest guy gives a good asking and I feel metal connect with my head. I have enough time to call Gerards name one last time before I black out.
