Rock and Roll Ruined My Life- Chapter 1- Boring Old Life
I waited for the big hand to reach the three… 'Ring!' Finally school was over. Staying in school from 6:30 AM to 2:15 PM is so not worth it. I grabbed my stuff off the back of my chair and joined the crowd going down the stairs. So far my day was going as it normally would: get up, survive, get Starbucks, go back to bed. I could not wait to get my beloved vanilla Frappucchino. After I finally got out the front door of my school I made a bee line to the Starbucks across the street. The good thing about living in the city is there’s a café every two feet so if one was too crowded to even walk through the door, I would never be far from my much needed caffeine filled drinks.
After I got my Frappucchino, I sat at one of the stools in the front window. I liked to watch all the cars and people go by. It relaxed me in a way I guess. I reached into my bag and took out my phone. I had one new message. I opened it eagerly but my hopes of it belonging to an important sender were crushed. It turned out to be my mom asking me what I wanted for dinner. I took a sip of my drink, sighed, and stared at my keyboard wondering what to put. I smiled to myself as I finally punched in the word ‘food’ and hit send. Even though I would probably get yelled at for it later, oh well. At least I was being honest. I looked around the café, no one I knew well enough to talk to was here. I got up, threw my drink out, and started the long 15 blocks home. Joy.
I pulled on my grey hoodie and zipped it up. Even though it was warm now I knew it could sometimes get cold, and I knew I would be too lazy to take it out if I got cold while I was walking. 'My life is so dull,' I complained… I guess I must have jinxed myself when I said that because I was not expecting anything like what I was about to run into.
