We heard heavy foot steps from the floor above.

"Fr-frank. Go hide under the bed," I ordered. He scurried under and I moved the duvet on the bed so you could see him. "Frank, if they come down I'm going to tell them you escaped. As soon as they leave, you run to that window and run away. Find someone to take you home. Don't make a sound."

"B-but, Gee-"

"Shh."

I looked around the room for something to use as a weapon if they came down. Most of Frank's stuff was gone, though. The only thing left was the bed and the desk under the window.

I opened the window a little so it actually looked like he escaped and continued my search. I glanced at the bed and it looked a little weird to have the duvet askew and the rest of the bed made, so I threw the pillows around the room.

I heard the door at the top of the stairs open and backed against the far wall in fear. They clamored down the stairs, guns at the ready.

"New Jersey Police Department. Put your hands in the air!" I sighed in relief and held up my hands. "You don't look like you kidnapped Frank. Who are you?"

"G-G-Gerard W-Way."

"Gerard, is anyone in this basement with you?" He asks. The officer speaking to me lowers his weapon but the others don't.

"F-Frank." He motions for the rest to lower their weapon.

"Where's Frank?"

I shakily walk over to the bed and fall to my knees. I move the duvet and hold my hand out for Frank.

"Come here, Frank. We're safe."

He scrambles out and tackles me in a hug.

"G-Gee," he sobs. "I I was s-so scared!"

"It's okay. Is okay now, Frankie. Shhhh. We're safe."

The officer turned and started giving the others orders then walked over to us.

"G-Gee," he whimpered and hid behind me from the approaching police officer.

I picked him up and set him in my lap. "Shhh, Frank. It's okay, he won't hurt us." Frank nods and looks at the officer.

"Can I give you guys a ride home?"

I smiled. "Please? Oh, crap. I need to call Mikey."

"You can borrow my phone," the officer offered, holding out a cellphone.

"Thank you," I said and took it. I dialed Mikey's number and held it to my ear.

"Hello?" He answered.

"Hey, Mikey. It's-"

"GERARD ARTHUR WAY DON'T YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN, YOU DUMB FUCK!" he yelled.

"Well, hello to you too," I grumbled.

"Meet me at home. I'm bringing Ray," he said and hung up.

Frank giggled and I looked to him. "Mikey said a bad word." I laughed and gave the officer his phone back.

"Yes, he did."

We walked to the officer's car and told him where we lived. I held Frank's hand as we walked in. Mikey and Ray were sitting at the kitchen table.

"Mikey, why is my car here? How did you-oh. . ." I trailed off.

"Yeah. Oh. You parked it, literally, in front if Ray's house. When I saw it I put two and two together on where you were and called the police."

"You called the police? Shi-shoot Mikey, thanks."

"You're welcome. And if you do that again I will bite your face off," he said. That was how Mikey threatened people. Saying he was going to bite their face off.

"Don't worry, Mikes. I won't."
