So Long & Goodnight
012
I'm standing by the door of Ms. Audrey's office, clutching the knob. There are two seats at the center of the room, but I don't dare move toward them.
"So, Gerard, hows life?" Ms. Audrey asks, pouring a cup of coffee on the small counter in her office.
I stay quite. She should know by now that I don't answer stupid questions. I never do. My silence must have been enough because she clears her throat and tries a different approach.
"Gerard, have you been taking your pills?" she asks.
"Of course I have." I scoff.
"Well, maybe we should up your dose or try a stronger medication." she suggests.
"The pills are working fine." I lie, "I just ran out of them a few days ago."
The second part wasn't a lie, I really did run out of them a few days ago. Not that it matter, they just get flushed down the toilet.
"Well, after today's session I'll write you up a slip and you can pick up another bottle of them on your way out, alright?" she says.
I stay where I am and watch Ms. Audrey sit in one of the chairs in front of me.
"Gerard, why don't you take a seat?" she offers, gesturing to the other chair, located across from hers.
"I'm fine, Ms. Audrey. I don't think I need a session today." I reply through gritted teeth.
There is no way that I'm doing another session.
"Please?" she asks, looking over at me calmly.
"No. I only needed more pills. Can I leave now?" I ask annoyed.
"Well...I suppose..." she starts but I'm already half way out the door.
"Gerard! You need the slip for your pills!" I hear her call after me.
I whip around. I don't want the pills, but I can't have her or Mikey become suspicious.
Just take the slip. It's going to be alright.
I'm almost alarmed at how calming Kellin's voice sounds and for once I believe him. Ms. Audrey races towards me and shoves the little pink slip into my hands.
"Here you are Gerard. Just go to the front desk and hand the lady the slip to get your pills." she explains.
Like I don't already know. I've done this a million times.
"Sure, thanks." I reply sauntering to the desk she's motioning at.
I walk to the desk and hand the lady sitting there the pink slip.
"Alright honey, give me a sec." she says, standing up and walking toward the back of the room.
I watch her pull out a small bottle and then waddle back towards me.
"Here you are." she huffs, passing me the bottle.
"Thanks." I mutter, taking it firmly into my grip.
I'm on my way out when I here Ms. Audrey call to me.
"Bye Gerard. Take you're pills when you get home!" she shouts.
"Whatever." I mumble, then I'm out the front door.

Notes
Hey killjoys! Sorry I haven't been updating lately. I've been soooo busy. So, I have some new idea. From now on, if you want me to update another chapter you have to answer a question down in the crotch (in the comments). If I have 5 different people answer them I will add another chapter. So, goodbye for now. Keep running! Stay beautiful, keep it ugly!XOXO
