I didn't bother going back to school, there was only about five minutes left till the bell, not enough time to explain that 'I ran from my boyfriend because I felt embarrassed about vomiting, for the about third time today, because i'm pregnant. Its best if people don't know, if they just forget about me after I leave.

Gerard walked me home and then he left shortly afterwards. he left me and my thoughts, alone in a house where I am barely acknowledged. I went up to my room and locked the door, so I could think things through. What I was going to do with the baby? its name? where it will stay? and how i'm going to tell mum, which I better do soon, or she will just be able to guess by my bulging belly.

The keys turned in the lock, and the familiar sound of her muffled footsteps scraping against the carpet as she most probably shuffles along the floorboards to the kitchen rang in my ears. Then my sister most probably skips down the stairs to offer with the unloading.

"Hello mum, how was your day?" she says on que.
I decide to join her, see if mums in a good mood.

"Hey mum" I offered

"umm yeah ahh hi." She spoke. Only just.

"so... how was your day"

"yeah uhh fine, Lee come here quickly please"

"sure mum"

Fuck this.

"mum I need to tell you something, in private"

Am I actually going to do this.

"umm yeah okay, lee could you, go to your room quickly please"

"sure mum"

This is actually happening

"so what would you like to tell me about then, make it quick."

"well its just that I, well Gerard and I. Umm it wasn't supposed to happen a-and i-i-i was careful, i mean we both were careful. but, I am ahhhh."

"hurry up you're what!" she snapped

"Mum im having a baby, I'm pregnant."

Then there was a pause, a long pause. I watched hers slowly turn from the kitchen counter to face me, her face:expressionless, my reaction... well when I have one, I will show it. The pause was excruciating, to sum it up, then, she spoke.

"well, theres no space for you here, not in my family. and if you do keep it, you two cant come back to live here."

she didn't shout, lash out. she just spoke calmly and that was it. I guess it was what I expected.
